Ammo Purchase Guidelines

No FFL/FOID required for ammunition purchases in most states.

You must be 18 years or older to order ammunition. Ammo must ship UPS ground. Please check local laws before ordering.

Any order placed that does not meet legal requirements will be automatically canceled and refunded minus a 5% fee.

Federal Ammunition Shipping Restrictions

Alaska No ammunition or primer shipments.
California No ammunition feeding devices over 10 rounds. No Tracer or Incendiary ammunition.

Colorado No ammunition feeding devices over 15 rounds.
Connecticut For all valid ammunition and magazine purchases one of the following is required:

  • A valid permit to carry a pistol or revolver
  • A valid permit to sell at retail a pistol or revolver
  • A valid eligibility certificate for a pistol or revolver
  • A valid long gun eligibility certificate
  • A valid ammunition certificate and a legal photo ID that shows date of birth and photograph.
    No ammunition feeding devices over 10 rounds.
Hawaii No ammunition or primer shipments.
Illinois FOID card must be faxed / e-mailed. (on file)

Maryland No ammunition feeding devices over 10 rounds.
Massachusetts No ammunition or feeding devices over 10 rounds.
New Jersey FPID card must be faxed / e-mailed. (on file). No ammunition feeding devices over 15 rounds.
New York Ammo shipments must go to an FFL dealer, copy of FFL must be sent to us or already be on file.
No ammunition feeding devices over 10 rounds.

Ohio No ammunition feeding devices over 30 rounds.

  • Cincinnati: No ammunition feeding devices over 10 rounds for a rifle and 15 rounds for a handgun.
  • Cleveland: No ammunition feeding devices over 20 rounds for center fire and 30 rounds for .22 cal.
  • Columbus: No ammunition feeding devices over 20 rounds for center fire.
  • Dayton: No ammunition feeding devices over 10 rounds for a rifle and 20 rounds for a handgun.
Washington D.C. For all ammunition purchases a valid firearms license is required.
No ammunition feeding devices over 10 rounds.
No .50 BMG caliber ammo. No armor piercing ammo.
Any ammo component such as cases, primers, powder or bullets is considered to be “ammunition” in Washington DC and thus requires a license as well.
